I am so sorry you are disappointed. Let me explain what has happened.

While I was in teh Paris Airport I became very hungry. I am hypoglycemic
and must eat every 53 minutes. I really wanted a Quarter Pounder from
McDonalds. I found a McDonalds but they did not have a Quarter Pounder. All
they had was something called a "Royale with Cheese". It was OK but really
was not the same.

Anyway, after looking for a Quarter Pounder I was behind schedule and had
to run to catch my flight. Security personnel must have thought I was a
terrorist because they stopped me as I came running up to the security
checkpoint.

Mosees, they searched every bag in my possession. They took the Boogie
Board I brought you along with the acid wash jeans and the OP shorts I
brought you to wear. Then they became very suspicious, asking me why I was
carrying an extra cellular phone and $10,000 in cash. They said they would
throw me in jail until I admitted I was a terrorist or a drug dealer! They
did not let me go until noon today!!!

In the end, I told them I was coming to Abidjan to help yuo, my adopted son,
in a business deal. I even showed them your photo so they would know I was
sisncere and so they could help me get to see you. What do you think they
told me? They told me you were probably just a scam artist who would
kidnap
me upon my arrival in Abidjan. I do not want to believe that.

My goodness, that does look like alot of money. And it is so neatly stacked in those pretty flower-lined trunks. How thoughtful.

Here is the information for the hotel here in Paris, however I am checking out today so that I can return to the united states to claim my money. You see the French authorities confiscated teh $10,000 in cash and said I would have to prove to United States Customs that I possessed the money legitimately. They are requiring that I return to the United Sattes and report to customs officials in Washington , D.C.

Once I have re-acquired the money I will return to Abidjan. However, I do not know how long this process will take. When I do come back, I believe I will bring travellers checks, which apparently are more acceptable to the authorities. Is this acceptable with you and the security company capons?

Anyway, I am back in the United States and I recovered the money(less a

exchange them on the street. I could carry a bunch of coins in a baloon in

I told the man the problem your encountered at France which led to your gojng back to the U.S. He sympathetically made me to understand that they could uplift the box to you in U.S through their diplomatic agent.This implies that the box wil be giving a diplomatic coverage and will not pose any problem until it is delivered to you. And to facilitate this, he said that since the ownership/beneficiary of the box is not in your name, there must be a change of ownership/beneficiary of the box into your name which I as the beneficiary will approve officially and the a new certificate of owernship and a leter of authorisation will be issued in your name and these documents, you can claim the box from the diplomatic agent with the presentation of your passport or driving license. Like I earlier told you, the impression is that the contents of the box is family valuables and not money and this should remain secret until you claim the box from the diplomatic agent. I feel this alterantive to be convenient if you can not be able to come here but it has to take me mcuh to have that trust in you since you will have to keep the fund on trust for me until I come to meet you there. I hope you will not betray me on this when the box comes into your care.

The operation manager told me that they will contact you and let you know the details of this process. Please if there is anything you do not understand from them, bring that to my immediate notice so that I can enlighten you more on the issue. They confimred to me that they equally got such mail from you and have replied back to you given you the details as you asked. I went to the extent of going to see the lawyer who accompanied me to the court and he confirmed the detail of the court charge to me. He made me to know that, it was even with his influence and connection that the process was made easy and the related document that will empower the security company to effect the change issued without any delayand much demand of money as it is the case here in this part of our sub-region especially as both you and I are none citizens of the country. Please note that the people here are very discrimanatory and can frustrate one to have his way or need very easily. This is a french speaking country where exist much discrimination especially against foreigners. I am happy that we could obtain the document easily from the court.

Please father, Much as such an amount has being required to make the change, I beg you to try and send it to me so that they can finish the change of ownership and issue you with the document that will make it easy for you to claim the box. I personally do not think that the required amount is not much as compared with the amount contained in the box and please remember that the security company authority does not know that the box contains money and so we should not make or create any awareness that will lead to any suspicion on the box. I implore you to just send the money to them and urge them to go about the rest of the process very quickly and uplift the box to your designated address. I am really much worried here. The political cituation in the country gets worst everyday and all eforts to make peace between the waring fractions have o far proved abortive. I have to hasten up to save my life and secure the fund from here before there is a possible outbreak of war in this country. I have to revamp my life and continue my family lineage. your foreign fatherly assistance is required to help me achieve this desire. I request that if you send the money, also let me know so that I can go and met them to ensure that the rest of the process is quickly and properly done. I have trust and confidence in you and hope that you will not let me down. Here is my problem.  I have no idea who you or your "company" are.  I am not inclined to send you almost $3000.00 with no assurance that you are a legitimate entity.  For all I know, you could simply be some kid who is proficient with Photoshop and who sits in a cyber cafe helping people run scams (I have heard of such things happening before).

I may come from a long line of inbred Irish contortionists, but I am no fool.  I did not climb to the title of CEO here at Widgit2ya, Inc. by making stupid decisions.

I need something to let me know you are for real.  Please send me a letter of authenticity on your company letterhead so that I can submit same to the proper authorities in Abidjan should this deal prove to be a fraud.  Attached to this letter I want your photograph so that I can identify you as a party should a lawsuit prove necessary.  And, I do not want some random photograph, I want it to be of you.  To guarantee that the photograph is of you I want you to hold a piece of paper or a sign with the words:

QUARRYMEN #1

This phrase will serve as our password in the future so that I know that our dealings are legitimate and that I am in fact dealing directly with you and not someone who has simply used your e-mail account.

Dear father,

I have gone to the security company and met with the operaion manager. He clearly told me that you did not send the money to effect the change of ownership but instead was trying to negociate with them to bring the box to you in U.S for you to pay $10,000. He stressed to me that in as much as your proposed is good to him, it is not within his power to accept such since part of the money will go directly to the ministry of justice and part to the security company and the lawyer. He bluntly told me that your idea was not possible for him.

Please father, I feel very bitter about this development. I am very sick and wanted your foreign aid to save my life and secure my heritance from here. I have made you to understand how difficult this french people are. Please you should not do this to me. I personall believe well that you have  nothing to loose for you to pay the security company the fee so that they can effect the change and uplift the box to you. I cannot go about exposing myself to everybody in order to get help. I might end up falling into the wrong hand just as I nearly fell into the hands of one Italian when I newly entered into this country. The man demanded for 50% as his commisison but I was scared of my little knowledge about the Italians. I will really like to settle in the U.S. Please for God's sake, do not decline your help from me. Try and send the money to the security company for them to accomplish the rest of the process. I did not see the photo of the mobile as you said . Please what is the status with the security company? Have you sent the form and the money to them? I went there two times this afternoon but could not meet the operation manager. I am afraid this might not be completed before the end of this week. I hope you really intend to help me save my life and secure my heritance. Please do not forsake me. My continous stay here in this country is not safe me for me at all. There is serious political crises going on here presently and this could possibly lead to war as it did in my country. My life is in jeopardy here and I muich regret the death of my parents. If only they have being alife, all this would not have befallen me. Death has being very wicked to me. The evil death that respects nobody. Good afternoon my persistent African pen pals.  I am writing to tell you that I really need to cut off all future communications.  I really need to get some real work done before I lose my job.  Of course, if I did lose my job I would simply find another honest source of employment and would not resort to e-mailing ridiculous 419 scams.  That is where you and I differ.

Seriously guys, you both seem to be fairly intelligent with a pretty good grasp on the English language.  There must be some legitimate work for you, even in a backwater country like the Ivory Coast (if that is where you are).

Mosees, in the future do not offer to move to another country and live with someone before you have been asked.  First off it's creepy.  Secondly, you may end up in the bottom of a well while Buffalo Bill screams at you to put lotion on your body so he can make a Mosees body suit (for more information regarding this possible outcome please rent "Silence of the Lambs", or even better buy a black market copy on the streets of Abidjan).

Chris, get people's name correct.  My name is not "Placid" it is "Flacid".  However, that of course is not my real name.  Someday you might get the joke.  I doubt it.

Please, consider giving up the scamming business.  You are not good at this, seriously.
